Our "bus"

Off to see the Doctor with our "bus".  It rolls like a limo with two car seats snapped in place......long.....awkward, but gets Jonathan and Claire rolling right along as Mom cannot carry two car seats.

In three weeks, we have gone through well over 350 diapers! Can you imagine the lifetime of diapers we will go through? Crazy!

Jonathan - Children's Hospital, July 9th

Fever = Hospital stay for few days

Jonathan spiked a fever on July 8, so he was off to Children's Hospital since those under two months have to go to emergency room when they have a fever.  Turns out it was
probably just a virus, but he had to have sticks, pokes, etc, and stay for 3 days...Annie and Dave camped out in a double room with Claire, while Alivia found quarters with grandparents.

Babies went home Tuesday evening.

After 17 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing, Claire's heart rate and my blood pressure starting dropping like crazy. So, even though we were trying to avoid a c-section at all costs, it became necessary. I feel at peace about it, because we really did everything we could. We are so insanely blessed and happy to have 2 beautiful healthy babies. They are truly a gift from God. Jonathan Anthony (the name Jonathan means gift from God) weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and Claire Elizabeth weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces, which is a wonderful weight for twins! I got home from the hospital tuesday afternoon. It's been a pretty slow recovery with the c-section but everyday is getting better.

Dave with Claire & Jonathan. Jonathan looks exactly like Dave, and Claire has a more rounded face, and we think looks more like Ann. They definitely look different, but we are thinking of future pics, to always have Jonathan on the left side...so we can tell who is who.

Babies are here! 2:30 am Friday, June 22.   Thank you, Lord!
Baby A -boy - Jonathan Anthony  6 lbs. 9 oz.
Baby B - girl - Claire Elizabeth     6 lbs. 13 oz.
Mother and Babies and Dad are doing well!
A c-section was necessary as Claire's heartbeat started to drop too low.

Alivia got to hold a friend's 2 week old baby yesteday, and  was very excited.

She sat still with the baby for 20 minutes.

 

37 weeks today - June 15th!

 37 weeks today - June 15th!

 

Babies will be 37 weeks on Friday, June 15.  Doctors are monitoring a few vital signs, but so far all is well.  Babies are pushing Ann's hips as far sideways as possible,  stretching her belly way out front,  and are very compacted inside their tiny space via the latest ultrasound. They continually let their Mother know they like to be active.

Holy cow! I feel like my babies have had a huge growth spurt between weeks 30 and now week 34. I can't imagine getting any bigger!!!!!
